Elliot is a highly experienced Cave and Technical Diving instructor, originally from London. He started his diving journey at the ripe old age of 11 when he obtained his Junior Open Water Certification. At the age of 19 Elliot decided to leave England and pursue a career in Scuba Diving. He set off for St Eustatius, in the Dutch Antilles, to began his journey towards becoming a diving instructor. Here Elliot would not only begin guiding clients on ocean dives but he also had the opportunity to work with local marine biologists on various projects including coral restoration and monitoring of sea turtle nesting patterns.
It was in the Dominican Republic Elliot had his first experiences of cave diving. He undertook a guided cavern tour and was blown away by the sheer size and beauty of the cave. He immediately contacted a local cave diving instructor and completed his Cave Diver certification in 2011. Working as a dive instructor during the week, at the weekends Elliot went cave diving whenever possible. He eventually moved onto Providenciales, part of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Working in a high end resort offering some of the best wall diving in the world he began to hone his skills as a dive instructor offering a high level of service but started to crave a new challenge in diving. During this time Elliot continued to push his limits as a cave diver, exploring various caves around the island but nothing of significance. In September 2016 Elliot came to Mexico on vacation. After one month of solid cave diving he decided that his next job would have to be in the cave diving paradise of the Yucatan Peninsula. Within one year he had relocated to Mexico to further his diving career and pursue his passion for cave diving. He began working for one of the most reputable dive centers in the area, where he became a Cave Diving Instructor, learning from some of the biggest names in the diving industry. In 2024 Elliot decided that he wanted to start his own diving business in Tulum, offering high end guided diving and training services. Cenote Diving Tulum was born! During his free time you can find Elliot in the gym, going for a long run or heading out into the jungle to go diving or exploring with friends.
