CAVERN DIVING
If you’re an experienced recreational diver who wants to explore the Cenotes of Mexico and learn more about these amazing environments our Guided Cavern Diving is for you! Not only will you be able to dive in these breath taking places but also you will learn about the geology behind how these amazing cave systems were formed, the cultural significance the Cenotes have for the Mayan people, proper cavern guided communication and team diving techniques. Our Guided Cavern Diving Diving is less of a tour and more of an experience, giving you an insight to the knowledge and techniques used by cavern and cave divers.

Typically our meeting time is 8.30.. Once we have completed all the necessary paperwork over a tea or coffee we will get you fitted for your diving equipment, ensuring everything is comfortable and to your liking.
The first part of your guided cavern diving day is dedicated to several short presentations about Cenote diving in Tulum. These presentations are designed to give you a greater understanding of the Cenotes of Tulum, the history of cavern and cave diving in Mexico and of the special considerations divers need to take when diving in the Cenotes. We will discuss the geology of the Cenotes and their initial creation, their cultural significance, and we will cover the necessary safety procedures for diving in the Cenotes.
At around 10.30 am we will load up the truck and head out to one of many amazing cenotes we have available to us, right on our doorstep. Depending on where we plan to go diving the drive can be between 5 – 40 minutes to arrive at the dive site. Once there you will be given a full site tour and orientation. Lunch is available for you whenever you please and can be taken at anytime during the day, our recommendation is to enjoy a relaxed lunch break between your dives. Each dive has its own unique features and depending on the profile and site dives last between 40-50 minutes typically, depending on your air consumption. Depending on which Cenotes we visit, we might change sites win between dives.
After we are done diving, we will head back to base for a tea or coffee and day debrief, where we can talk through the dives, go over any necessary equipment changes, review your diving techniques and have a nice relaxing end to the diving day. Typically a day of guided cavern diving ends between 4-5pm.
.
If you would prefer to finish slightly earlier we can move with a purpose but it is recommended that you take a slow pace and enjoy your days of diving. The cost per person for our Guided Full Cavern Diving Experience is $220 per day with everything included. There is a maximum of 4 divers per day for this service. For single person experiences there is a $30 surcharge.

“Top level service. From the moment we met Elliot me and my wife felt completely relaxed and at ease with the day ahead. Elliot ensured we were comfortable throughout the entire day and his attention to detail was second to none! Highly recommended!”.
